The purpose of the T.W. Lewis Foundation is to help children and families in need, impact youth through Christian education, support civic minded causes in our community, strengthen America, and build God's kingdom.
Formed in 2000 by Tom and Jan Lewis, the T.W. Lewis Foundation has provided college scholarships to over 200 future leaders, made gifts to dozens of non-profits that help children and families in need, and supported youth education organizations that build character and encourage civic engagement. They have also provided leadership and financial support for a wide variety of community based organizations.
Tom Lewis is the Founder, Owner and CEO of T.W. Lewis Company, a Phoenix, Arizona, based real estate investment company known for its quality and outstanding customer service in the homebuilding industry. T.W. Lewis Company, founded in 1991, has received numerous industry awards including America's Best Builder in 1998 and the National Housing Quality Gold Award in 2009.
In 2000, Tom and his wife, Jan, formed T.W. Lewis Foundation. T.W. Lewis Foundation supports higher education, children and families in need, youth education and a variety of other community charities. T.W. Lewis Foundation has provided college scholarships for over 200 outstanding students to attend some of America's best universities. In 2015, Tom and Jan made a gift to establish the Lewis Honors College at the University of Kentucky, and in 2017 made a gift to establish the T.W. Lewis Center for Personal Development at Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University.
Tom received his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky and his Master's in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a former Chairman of the Arizona Chapter of Young President's Organization and a member of World President's Organization and CEO International.
Jan received her undergraduate degree in education from Ohio University in 1972 and her Master's degree in counseling from Kent State University in 1976. She is an active community volunteer and is on the Board of Directors of Desert Botanical Garden, Florence Crittenton and Barrow Neurological Foundation Women's Board. She is also an active member of ASU Women and Philanthropy.
Tom and his wife, Jan, live in Paradise Valley, Arizona and have three grown sons.
T.W. Lewis Foundation is symbolized by the life-size bronze statue titled "Once Upon a Time" by Marianne Caroselli. This artwork is located at the T.W. Lewis corporate office and represents the Foundation's commitment to children and education.
